Went out in the snow with a bunch of TW guys this past weekend. The tires did great! For how slick it was out I was very surprised with how little the tires spun on the trail especially going up hill. If they did spin it was most likely from getting hung up or the tire not being big enough to roll over something. Changing my line worked every time.

There were a few spots going downhill where I would lose traction but mostly because I was on a rock. Once I hit snow traction was there.

On the fire road getting to the trailhead I had no issues with traction at normal pressure (about 35psi) in 2wd.

Overall I have been extremely happy with the tires. As of right now I can see myself buying these again when I decide to go bigger.

    Edit: I’m running p265/75-16

Just bought a 17 3rd Gen and couldn’t pass up the deal on these tires. Got five 265/75 16 tires for 102 dollars a piece!! Figured I could sell the wranglers for about the same price. I was a little worried that the tires wouldn’t look aggressive enough but pictures don’t do them justice. They look ace! Now hopefully they hold up off-road and on!

Ya, I was stoked. Tirebuyer on eBay had a deal a few days ago for a set of four at 430. So I had discount tire match the price plus I get 10% off for military. So I ordered five with certs plus some pro comp 7032 wheels that were on sale for a tota price of 1100 and change. Hoping to only be out 250ish for the switch.

    This and that...

Less expensive and has a mileage warranty. Not that a mileage warranty means much depending on driving rabbits, but it would seem they are expected to have a higher tread life than the BFG's. Still waiting to try these on snow here in CO, but initial impressions on mountain roads and steep loose baby head rocks is that they perform very well. They are quiet but I never had an issue with noise with BFG's, had them up to a 33 on my jeep. Price point and all the good reviews were hard to beat.

Haven’t posted in a while here, folks have been interested in long term wear. Tire size is 265/75/16 Standard load, I’ve been rotating them about every 5k miles, I run the pressure at 36psi all four corners, currently have 25k miles on them, tread wear is 9/32 on the front 10/32 on the rear and they are wearing evenly across tread

I’m am still impressed with the wet handling, they work very well in the snow too. I was running the Cooper StMaxx on a bigger heavier truck before the Tacoma, the Falken Wildpeaks are not nearly as aggressive as the StMaxx however they are much lighter. Considering I’m about 80/20 on road to off road, the Wildpeaks are very good combination for the Tacoma. Having a tire that doesn’t mind a few side scuffs is a plus as well.

Super happy with my Wildpeaks! I was worried they weren’t aggressive enough, but they look much better in person! Drove 2 hours in heavy rain right after I had them installed and they did great! 0B82948F-3C2F-434B-B009-7409A485B9C7.jpg917FAB99-B064-478A-8E58-C31240CC536F.jpg

Couldn’t be happier with how the truck turned out with new wheels too. The Wildpeaks look much better in person and the truck has a great stance now. Lift will be going on in the next month or so. Minimal rubbing on the inner fender so I trimmed about 1/2” off to make it clear, can’t even tell. I do have stock suspension up front with 192k so I’m sure it’s sagging a little.

My only complaint is the tread on all 4 tires measured in at just under 13mm depth. I had read it was suppose to be 14....

I also weighed the tires before the install, techs thought I was crazy and stupid lol

265/70/17 weighed 43.8 lbs each, lighter than the advertised 46-47. That makes for a total of 69.6 lbs with wheel and tire. My old setup was 81 lbs.

Mpg loss, so I got stock tire sized falkens mounted on scs Ray 10 16. I'm seeing a big drop in mpg, anyone else see their avg mpg drop to about 17-19?
