Have you guys ridden around on E-range tires much? These tires aren't very loud, add some stiffness to your vehicle so that around a corner your whole truck doesn't lean and generally make for a better ride IMO. If you are driving in a straight line, on perfect asphalt all day go ahead and enjoy your c-rateds. If you want to drive your truck, have it feel more stable and never worry about a flat tire, put on E rated tires.

I have e range. Too much for my taste. C is a good blend of off road ruggedness and comfort. To each their own.

Now having not experienced these in e rated, I wonder though.....

The sidewalls on these tires and *that* stiff. I put the E load on all of my work rigs which are full size trucks and with the right air pressure they feel like they could be a C load.

Aren't that stiff? That's the thing, the Tacoma's are not a full size truck. Unless I'm going to run 600lbs plus all the time, just feels overkill for me

My next set of tires will be these in P285/70-17. With the Regular Cab 4cyl, I will enjoy the weight savings.

I keep mine around 30 psi and they feel planted, but aren't super stiff. I am used to an aftermarket suspension that is stiffer than stock, so I like a little stiffer of a ride generally. I don't want to tell you it will be to your standards though then have you wishing for your c-rated back for 40k miles.

edit: The BIGGEST plus to an e-rated tire is that it won't pop driving around town/on rocks. Well at least 99% of the time. I used to go through 5-8 tires a year on my vehicles until I switched to e-rated and I haven't had to replace one of those in 3 years.

Second edit: If you have 20 inch rims and ride e-rated tires it's gonna be rough as hell. If you have 16's with a TON of sidewall like we have on these trucks, it adds in some cushion believe me, especially if you go the size up from stock and get that extra .5 of it.

I have 34 psi in my falkens right now. Maybe I’ll try em around 30-32?

The door panel of my taco says 32psi for tires, so I am aiming for around there, 34 is fine I am sure too, but if you want it a little softer it might make a little bit of a difference. My dealer put mine at 40 psi on the installation and that was pretty stiff.

I think I have narrowed my tires down to A/TW's or Cooper ST Maxx's in 265/75/16. Anyone had both that has an opinion? Don't really want a very noisy tire.

6k miles on the Wildpeaks, still love them. Mediocre in mud (even aired down), but excellent grip in snow and loose dirt/rocks. Still super quiet on pavement running at 33 PSI

Wow an amazing tire, I just got mine installed Friday. Rides just as good as stock with better grip on 265/70-17.

I've got a pair of these on my 2012 taco 265/70/17. They're sweet and priced amazingly. I grabbed mine from tirebuyer with a $75 coupon from Falken. Pretty amazing deal.

I've been happy with the ride at 33 psi. I would definitely not go over 35 but I do have a regular cab which might ride a little different than your truck.
