never mind. they hooked it up. matched the price out the door. even giving me some money for my like new tires on the truck currently. pushed me to get the 6 year road hazard warranty! great service all around. Blows my mind other tire shops stay in business. line out the door for these guys. 5 stars!

So come to find, the Falken wildpeaks are on National backorder. looks like the ones in the ebay link are the old manufacturer #. so all this and American Tire called me to say they can't get them for a month almost. Not their fault. still great service. but they can't hold the price they matched for me. @Discount Tire Direct does this sound right? and do you have inventory of the newer one? Also, i can't find anywhere what the differences are between the old model and the new model? any info on this would be great.

I apologize for the confusion. The 265/70R17 Falken Wildpeak A/T3W listed on e-bay motors is the new version of the Wildpeak. Unfortunately, there are not enough characters on the e-bay listing to allow for the W.

Here is the link to them on e-bay motors:

    265/70R-17 Wildpeak A/T3W | e-bay Motors

    Hope this helps.

The aspect ratios are different. The 75 will be taller than the 70 by about an inch.

My local Discount Tire is also telling me that the 265/70/R17 SL version is on national backorder and they might not get them until June. I see I'm not the only one getting this answer, but a huge bummer if this is accurate info.

Noticeable, but not terrible. The Wildpeaks on my work truck are quieter than the BFG KBro2's on my personal truck.

My current bummer about these tires is we have a new mandatory tire contract and the Falkens aren't even listed in the non-core item group. Until the contract expires (or I can side-negotiate to get them on the list) I won't be able to get them as my standard fleet tire anymore. Still exceptional performance on my work fleet.

Weird. When I ordered mine yesterday the guy on the phone said they showed 90+ tires in stock in the warehouse. I called my local Discount Tire store directly (to see if I could have the Ebay-priced tires shipped direct to them), and he said he would order them and give me the $100 off. Maybe they just went that fast?

That is weird. Because I was in store yesterday. The guy even called all around and called falken directly while I was right there. They had nothing.

I ordered them off eBay. American tire will install them. So worked out in the end. Same price.
