Well they do have a 55k mile tread wear warranty but I think you have to have rotated every 5k miles to keep from voiding it.

How are these working for you? I'm trying to decide between 245 and 265

I’ve been pretty happy with them, they look good and have been great in the snow this winter. I think it’s be hard to go wrong with either size.
My next tire will either be these in 235/85/16 or something in 255/85/16

Yea I thought about those sizes but I want a more at and less mt tire and most of those sizes are pretty aggressive, plus I don't want to hurt my mpg if possible.

Just performed the chalk test on mine (p265/70r16) after warming them up (20 min avg 50mph) and I had to get the rear to 25psi (down from 30psi) and the front to 29psi (down from 34psi) to get an even chalk wear across the tread. All I have in the bed is a tote with about 100lbs of the necessities in it (and i am currently at 1/2 tank of gas). These were installed 3 weeks ago and I had the truck aligned 2 wks ago. Ride is "smoother" now. Since i usually don't carry full loads in the bed or tow, I will most likely stay at these pressures. I will post cold psi once they cool down.

Love the look of this. Sadly my SR5 did not look like that after I added tires or I would’ve stayed stock. Mine still looked extremely low to the ground.

I hate asking questions because they make me feel stupid and I do know alot about vehicles but this is baffling me....
I own a 18 TRD OR DCLB 4x4. My stock tires are goodyear wranglers 265/70/16.
    So here is the question......
Why when I search sites and it has you put in your vehicle, some sites show the stock tire for my truck as 16s and some 17s?
And like Amazon if I click on the 16s it will say this part does not fit your vehicle and other sites will say 17s dont.
Obviously they will fit but I asked about 17s when I bought the truck and was told they were not an option, the truck comes with 16s.
So Im looking at the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W tires because I dont care for the tread on the stocks and would really like black rims but dont know if I could swing a grand for wheels and tires seeing I just bought this truck and i just hit 300 miles. money isnt growing on trees here in the winter of Mass.
so do I just buy these for my stock rims or suck up the difference and buy 17 rims and tires?
    (ok I had 2 questions)

If you want black wheels you have a couple options rather than purchasing new; this company makes decals for the stock Off-Road wheel- http://shine-graffix.com/product/tacoma-16-wheel-decal-trd-off-road-2016/, and the other option is paint or Plasti-Dip. I think the reason you are getting the "doesn't fit" is b/c the database the company is using is probably lacking the second option of the Tacoma, i.e., either they have the Off-Road or the Sport in there but not both, but this is just a guess. When spring hits and Mass starts growing money again feel free to send me some for my consulting advice :-D

I am not familiar with the chalk-test. Could you share a link explaining this?

Short answer: 40psi -> 30 Psi -> 28/26 psi and it’s perfect. Do the chalk test - every truck is different.

    Long read below.

    2017 DCLB OR
    Extra weight: Bumper, skid, shell
    265/75 R16 P-rated 116T
    Tire mileage to date: 35K
    2” lift on Icons

Local shop mounted at 40 psi. The ride was terrible and the truck was all over the place.

I ran 30 psi cold per the door sticker for about 30K miles. The ride was good and the wear was what appeared to be very even. Grip was excellent in all conditions and road noise minimal. Mpg average 17.5.

I’ve now been running 28 psi cold up front and 26 psi cold in the rear and the ride is so much better. Didn’t realize 2 psi could make such a difference.

Why? Contact patch...I pulled in my garage after doing some drywall sanding and noticed that roughly 1/4” of tread on the inside and outside of the tires was not making contact. Before that, I had never done the chalk test, but visually it looked like they were making good contact.

After airing down the truck rides great. Mpgs did not take a hit. The suspension and tires seem to be working much better together and the once harsh pothole/square edge hits are much better. But I’m still replacing my Icons for Fox next week.

Anyone doing the wheel vinyl should buy from @sxe4533 or @PikestacoSister. Supporting local members and they're the OG of wheel vinyl around here. Cheaper too.

Seems like some owners with the SL version of this tire have lost tread depth significantly maybe the LT version is a better option

I won't be getting a particularly long life out of mine either. They have sure performed well though. Seems to be pitfall of the softer, winter oriented AT tires
