Rotated the tires and got a little wobble. Guess I need to get them balanced.

Looking at LT 285/70R17 AT3W. Anyone using these in the Pacific NW.....my offroad is gravel and blast rock logging roads. Sent an email to Falken; they recommended the LT version. Have a few concerns about tearing and chipping of lugs with the soft rubber. Email stated,"Our tires do not have a cut/chip compound, which minimizes the tire's tread from breaking down over constant gravel use".

Currently running 285/70r17 Nitto Trail Grabbers M/T at almost 67lbs a tire on a 2017 TRD Offroad with a OME BP51 suspension plus extras. The weight only seems an issue driving on Hwy through mountain passes(need more power). Hence I don't have issues putting an Lt version of the Falkens on my truck. Just don't want these tires to self destruct prematurely while off hwy.......

I run them on a 3/4 ton truck very aggressively over sharp desert shale and gravel. No cuts, chips, or tears in almost 15,000 miles.

    Bone Stock.Why mess with perfection?Except...
Had to drive through some heavy rain yesterday, including some fairly deep "ponding" on the sides of the road, and I couldn't even tell it was raining. Once I felt confident with the tires in the rain, I intentionally drove through several of the "ponds", at highway speed, and still couldn't tell it was raining. So far, I'm happy with these tires.

Mine are getting mounted tomorrow and I can’t wait. We are getting some crazy summer storms already, so the extra grip will be nice

30,000 miles on one of the Ram 1500's in my fleet. When I was still driving this truck, I was absolutely unforgiving to them, running them as hard as the 4.7L in that truck would carry us off road. That was about 15,000 miles of abuse. The last 15,000 have been at the hands of another officer who drives the I5 corridor through the Grapevine daily.

I'm needing a new set of tires soon and wished there wasn't so much talk about balance issues and wear cause I think the wildpeaks look awesome and are cheaper than the coppers at3 I'm looking at.

Three sets of E load on trucks in my fleet have been balance issue free and wear better than BFG KBros.

Hey, what were the old tires that we’re on your truck in the pic? Looks like the Hercules terra trac AT2? If so, how’d you like them? Been on the edge about them, seems like no one runs them. Thanks

Bunch of work trucks around me run these. I asked on of them and they said "not on my personal truck."

Interesting, wonder why they don't like them. I like how they are offered in LT275/70R17, 6 ply C, with 16.5/32" tread. That's deep tread for that size. Also has a similar thread pattern to a nitto terra grappler.
    Thanks for the info tho!!

Anybody know if Discount usually runs another sale for July 4th?
I missed the Memorial day sale. If not I guess I can look at something else.

They wear way too quickly. I won't put them on my fleet rigs anymore.

I was considering these, but the Cooper's that are being rolled out now look so dang good. The old ones had great reviews, but the sidewalls were similar to a car tire. I think the new sidewalls rival BFG or the Duratracs for best looking.

Oh wow no way? Thanks for your info. That's really interesting, the website says 60k mi warranty. should be able to get a solid 50k out of them I would imagine? What truck did you have them on if I may ask?
