Truck looks good, but I’m biased.

Your profile location puts you at ground 0 for Florence. Hoping you and yours are safe.

I'm currently deployed, but the wife evacuated back to Chattanooga where she is safe. Unknown damage to our place in Wilmington, will know more hopefully tomorrow once it clears up.

I'd been waiting to get new tires once I got back, but when she finally sends pictures of the tread depth after she's made the evac, and they're nearly at the wear bars, new tires get purchased immediately and install appointments are made at the closest tire shop to her. Unfortunately it took a hurricane evacuation for her to take heed, but thankfully she's fine and now has a greater appreciation of proper vehicle upkeep.

Just turned 6k miles on my A/T3W's, so far they have been awesome. Haven't had any vibrations but had America's Tire rebalance them when they rotated them and they balanced perfectly.

Just had my 1st rotation (5,000 miles on tires, 20,000 miles on truck), tires are at 11/32nds tread and fairly even all the way across the tread. I have been running 32psi front/30psi rear, I stepped it up to 34psi front/32psi rear to see if I can get the tread closer to even but I may be unrealistic since its soooo close already. I will see how these pressures ride and adjust again at the next 5,000 miles.

So far no discernible difference in fuel economy on a surburan route, including driving through a couple city centers.

Good question really. I have the P285/70R17 but will look on the receipt to see if they are LT or P rated.
    Guess I should know this.....

If you look on the sidewalk it will either say “P285/70r17” or “LT285/70r17”. If it says P285/70r17 then that’s what they are. Just curious because I would like to get the p rated tires but it seems that most the people with balancing and/or tread wear issues are running the p rated.

I have P rated and havent had any issues. 5k miles so far, just did their 1st rotation and are at 11/32nds (new is 12/32nds) all the way around. I did a chalk test to set tire pressure.

I’m 1 month into new Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 265/70R17. Went down from 285/70 due to rubbing. No rubbing with the 265s and look aggressive yet economical. Ordered through Walmart online. Lost a little MPG. Noise is minimal. Currently working a separate TMPS issue. Overall, pleased with these tires.

I just ordered them in 265/70/17 for my 2011 TRD Sport. I just finished up with General Grabbers AT2 and was really happy with but wanted to go with a new technology tire.

Are you saying you lost MPG by downsizing from 285/70 to 265/70? That sounds 100% opposite than I’d expect from that kind of tire size change.
