I see that Falken has LT275/70/17 in C load rating. I haven't seen anyone mention this "in between" size. Sounds like a good option to me. Also does not appear that Discount Tire carries this size. Wonder why?

Definitely a tid bit more audible than the stock rugged fails. But an overall smoother ride, due to the taller sidewall. Went from the stock P265/70r16 to the P265/75r16 on stock suspension. And yes, as everyone else says, they are beefier in person.

I just got a chance to measure the depth...3 tires are at 8/32 and 1 at 7/32. I rotate them roughly every 5,000 miles...

 

Did you get a quote on the 16 x 8? I've been trying to figure that out!

 

Remounted mine on SCS Ray 10's. Stock size in 16" and have a slight rub on full lock backing up on the passengers side.

 

Have they updated this model tire at all? I blew out a tire on Saturday and just got my replacement put on today..and WOW. The tread difference is crazy...makes my tire with 10k miles look bald! Thought they gave me a beefy M/T for a minute lol.

 

If they got you a LT/E rated when you had a P/SL rated before then it could explain the difference. The LT/E has more tread depth to last the same 55,000 miles on heavier rigs.

 

Looks great. I'm stock suspension as well...about to add the same wheels in Bronze to some wildpeaks in the next week or so!

 

That's it...wonder if I should leave it or get a matching SL tire..

 

I apologize if you received an LT tire as a replacement. You will want to make sure to get the proper replacement tire to match your other 3 tires. If you received them at a store I would recommend contacting them, if it was an online purchase if you will send us a PM with your information we would be happy to get you in contact with the proper department to fix this.

 

Really thinking on slapping some of these on before winter hits hard. Does anybody know if discount does or will have a good Black Friday sale or any sale for that matter?

Also needing tires, will wait and see what DTD has to say regarding a Black Friday Sale.

 

I have 40K on mine with 6/32 left on all fours. They wear even and are very compliant in all weather. I have the SL 265/75 R16 and have been through 3 winters in Maine and Rhode Island - I’ll never buy another tire.
