You may get a lot of answers. You are always safe going by the owners manual but I just rotate front to back, back to front, etc., and have had no cupping issues.

yea, the manual says just to do front to back, and back to front, no crossing or anything. But couldn't find anything from falken about it, so I was wondering if people did anything other than whats in the manual.

I’ve always done front to back and haven’t had any issues. Best of luck to you!

I usually have done front to back and been good. I had a set of Interco tires years back that I had to cross rotate to minimize the wobbles I’d get around 60mph.
As long as they’re wearing even and don’t give you issues, you’ll be good with either method.

Today is the last day for $80 mail in rebate through Falken...TireBuyer has (4) AT3s for $568.00 with $40 off = $528.00 before tax.

Total for (4) tires in my cart is $567.08 and then you get the $80 Visa gift card if purchased before the end of today.

Should I pull the trigger? Or will I find a better deal within the next month?

I checked there first. But their website doesn't have any discounts, and doesn't mention the rebate.

I was mentioning them because if you reach out to them they’ll beat the lowest price you find. They recently beat Pep Boys running a buy 3 get 1 free deal for my GTI tires and no one else was even close to them. You might give them a call or a PM.

I don’t have one locally (wish I did) so I buy online and let my local Costco mount and balance mine and I’ve yet to have an issue.

I got my 265 75 16 SL Tires mounted today. I put about 150 miles on them. My initial impressions are...
The Road Noise is no where near as loud I thought it would be. Very surprised!
Even at 42 PSI from the Tire Shop they road fairly smooth. Dropped it down to 38 and it is much better.
The installer did not use the yellow dot aligned with the valve stem. They used more wight than I would like. However, they are balanced and I have zero steering wheel shake or other issues. I drove for several minutes at 85mph and it was smooth and straight. I normally cruise between 65 and 75. I will have them remount them at my first rotation unless an issue arises.
They Look Great! I still had some tread left on my Cooper AT3 but I am going to Moab this weekend and I did not want to risk it. If these tire can perform as well as the Coopers I will be very happy. I will report back with a brief performance review after my trip to Moab.

Can anyone compare the road noise of a broken in Wildpeak AT3W compared to a broken in Goodyear Duratrac.

My Duratracs have gotten annoyingly loud.

I just ordered some in that size and will have them mounted next week. I've been on quite the journey to find the "right" tires. I battled 285s (Toyo) and it was just too much rubbing, even with aftermarket UCAs (JBA) and a 2" lift (6112/5160 + Icon AAL pack). I did a little bit of dremel trimming when trying to get the 285s to work, so we will see what the rub situation is like once these are mounted. I am running Fuel Vector -6 offset wheels in 17 x 8.5 as well. The big reason for the change is that the Pro Comp MT2 Extremes that I run 265/70/17 are a tiny bit small after the lift and I have gotten an average of 15.5 mpg with them for the past 10k miles. I had 285s on for one weekend (heavier tire too) and I was registering 19+ mpg over about 150 miles. I'll post pictures and results once they are on and I have a little time with them.

I'm curious as well, I had bought a set of Duractracs and before even mounting them I sold them because I heard of the road noise. Im happy with my Wildpeaks so far.

Road noise is somewhat subjective, but through independent 3rd party testing the Falken WildPeak A/T3W scored 4 out of 5 and the DuraTrac scored 3.5 out of 5. To put that into perspective, 3 is average performance for a tire in the A/T category and 5 is the best. This means the DuraTrac rides slightly quieter than average and the A/T3W rides quieter than average.

I have the 275/70r17 C rated and so far I love them. I have not been able to make the rub even without trimming. I have 17x7 4 runner wheels with 15mm offset so that helps keep it from rubbing
