Anyone got these with SCS f5’s 16” and stock suspension? Wondering what the biggest tire size I could go with without rubbing.

Everyone seems to go with 265/75r16. Doesn’t rub with most 16” wheels. Safest bet.

Pictures don’t do them justice. Very aggressive compared to OEM Goodyear’s. Very happy with them. Full pic tomorrow.

Depends on which offset you go with. My 16” Ray 10s have a -12 offset and rub only a little when turning while the suspension is compressed. The -25 will definitely rub a bit with 265/75/16 on stock suspension. If you have mud flaps up front you’ll have to remove them. It’ll be worth breaking out the heat gun because they’ll look awesome.

How do you like these vs the ATX?
I think my choice is narrowed down between the two. Deciding factor would be snow performance.

Falkens for the snow win. We get plenty of ice and snow up here and the Falkens have performed amazing. The ATx are great as well, but I’d put the Falkens ahead of them.

Good to know and they are cheaper too so that’s a plus.

Just got the 275/70/17s to replace my Pro Comp Xtreme MT2 in 265/70/17.

I have a 2” lift, aftermarket (JBA) UCA’s and I have a slight rub at full lock full stuff. Going to take the heat gun to the plastic this weekend to see if it makes a difference along with a fresh alignment.

Put about 50 miles on the tires and like them so far. Much, much smoother and quieter!

    Hello all,

Im researching my next set of tires and I'm leaning towards the Falken Wildpeaks in 265/70/17 standard load. Im coming from Cooper Discoverer AT3 in LT265/70/17 load range C. My question for you all is how do these Falkens ride in the standard loads?

They seem to weigh about the same, have similar load specs at similar PSI, and have the same 2 ply sidewall as the Coopers, even though they are technically a standard load tire. However, the Coopers are a bit jarring being a LT Load C tire. My truck is just too light now for a LT tire, and I do too much street driving unfortunately. My next tire will be a standard load for sure, but do you think the Falkens have a similar jarring type of ride that the LT Load C tires have?

My other choice right now is the Nitto TG2 which are 5 lbs lighter and dont have the same load specs as the Falkens, so I would assume that they ride closer to the stock standard load tire feel. But I like the Falkens a lot!

Looking forward to hearing your opinions and experiences with the Falkens.

I have Falkens in E load. Swapped from the stock GY Wranglers and in my opinion, they’re less “jarring” than the Wranglers - which are lighter than the C’s.

If jarring is an issue with your next tires, upgrade your suspension a bit and it’ll go a long ways in that regard.

What lift are you running ? And how much lift did you get in order to run this size tire ?

Did a little reshaping if the wheel well plastic with a heat gun and some minor trimming with the dremel. 275/70/17s aren’t rubbing at all now even at full stuff.

Was also able to get the full size spare to fit in the spare compartment!

You don’t necessarily need a lift if you’re willing to trim plastic and heat gun the fender liner. I also peeled back the fender liner and bent the vertical “pinch weld” at about a 45* angle so I could heat gun the liner a bit more flat. I didn’t feel like doing a little trimming here and there and testing and repeating..

I don’t rub anymore and never hit on the cab mount or upper control arms. Probably because my caster is 2.3 on both sides (with stock upper control arms). I have flexed to the bumpstops at full steering lock in both directions.

The lift is just bilstein 5100’s set at 0 with OME 885 coils and a 1/4 trim packer on the driver side. About 1.5 inches of lift in front at most. In back I have Icon RXT leafpacks in setup 2 with bilstein B110’s and Sumosprings as my bump stops. Its tough to say how much lift because of the sag I had stock with the sliders and camper shell. Rear is roughly an inch taller than front.

Rides awesome. I’m glad I went with this size and E load.
