What's the OTD price for these? Might be a good choice.

They’re about $20-30 more per tire than the Falkens depending on the load range.

Price wouldn't be a factor then.

Too bad. Mine have suited me perfectly. Hook up well when I need them to and are wearing evenly and at a reasonable rate.

Pirelli typically produces a quality product. I imagine their truck tires are no different.

In the case of most tires i don’t think it’s so much a question of whether they are good or not, it’s more whether or not they meet your expectations and suit your use and driving style. Every All Terrain I have bought has been decent. So far the Wildpeak has been the most well rounded, most notably for its advertised advantage, performance in slippery conditions. I really appreciate how crushed gravel roads have not eaten them up.

I put mine on in November and took them off in March, they saw nothing but Canadian winter road conditions, no wheeling in the winter. By about 7-8k miles they were under half tread. They were starting to crack like old tires also. That is not my expectation of a quality tire.

Winter roads? You talking about something like a winter hydro trail through the Bush and over shield or just highways and city street during winter?

Pirelli is worthless as a name now. I hold them at the same rank as Firestone now.

This!!!! I agree completely. My Duratracs have been good to me for what they are. But now I’m doing more highway driving than intended when I got them and that’s their weakness. So I’m choosing to switch.

Although there are some outliers that just have a really bad experience with a particular tire it doesn’t seem to be the norm.

What is the reasoning for this?

This seems pretty severe. It would seem like there might be some other factors in play here. What did Falken have to say about it?

You said 7-8k miles. A normal person would assume you did a rotation at some point in there. Especially with that type of accelerated wear.

    ......dumbass.

How are these in the snow? Headed to Colorado soon and want an upgrade from the stock wranglers. From my research they are about 10lbs heavier? Going from the 265/70/16 wranglers to the 265/70/17 wildpeaks that is.

Forgot to post a Taco pic to keep me legit.... :)

Trevor and I do a lot of snow wheeling and neither of us have any issues. He runs KO2 and I'm on Wildpeaks. Well, except that time he turned off the highway without slowing down enough and slide into a ditch RIGHT in front of two Caltrans (highway maintenance) trucks. I won't post that picture though. LOL So here's a regular shot from one of our trips.
