Many of them develop balancing problems for starters. Then they tend to have some quality control issues that are typical of cheaper tires. So I choose not to ever consider them. I’m not just going off of TW nitpickers , even though many have had issues with the tire as well. They have the “cool” looking tread and they’re cheap to purchase. That’s why they sell like crazy. A huge chunk of TW base their thoughts and reviews off of budget pricing. It is what it is.

Hope I’m happy with them. Anything is better than the shitty knock off mud tires in running now. We will see when I have them mounted Friday. Tire shop is giving me 300$ for my old tires since there basically new with 5,000 miles on them. So the falkens will only cost me 300$ out the door.

Recommended psi for a set of 31’s. No off-road just a daily driver

I beg to differ. When I purchase tires, there are many variables in the equation. Safety is the most important consideration. It doesn't make sense to use budget as the most important factor. Safety is not an area that one should economize in. In the long run, spending a little more on tires is far cheaper than brain surgery or a funeral. That said, let's face it. Most people do have a budget that will limit their purchase. Buy once cry once. I've had many sets of off road tires in my 44+ years of owning 4x4's and the Wildpeaks are the smoothest running set that I've ever owned. Maybe I got lucky, but there are hardly any weights on the wheels. I've only had them on for several thousand miles but so far I give them a preliminary 5 stars. At the end of the day, I'm very happy because they perform better than I anticipated and I didn't break the bank. This doesn't happen too often in life....

I just had 4 installed yesterday. The most weight any of them required to balance was 4 ounces. Mine are made in USA. A Lamborghini and other exotic sports car may cost more than a Corvette but few out perform the top of the line ZRs....especially dollar for dollar. Each person has to make their own choice. Budget may be a necessary factor for some of us. I try to avoid making across the board derogatory comments about others decisions. Maybe it makes you feel better about your purchase but in my opinion it does not add material value to the forum.

yeah because KO2s and Duratracs never have balancing issues. I have run all kinds of tires and I am firm believer in putting money in the only thing holding me to the road. My last set were Toyo’s and they were absolute garbage after 2 years of use. The Falkens have been great so far that I comfortably enough to put them on my wife’s 4Runner.

I was thinking the same thing. If the Falkens continue to perform like I believe they will, my wife's TRD Sport will get a set as well when her tires need replacement.....

    Initial impressions

Very quiet. The ride is great. Very smooth a lot smoother than the knock off mud tires I had. Balanced with under 3 oz on each tire. Ran up to 80 miles an hour and there very smooth. No shaking. 80 in the rain also did great. Felt very planted to the road

Ok, like I said, I didn't notice it the first time, and when I did see it I started to wonder if something really weird was going on....
