Finally got to try mine out on some snow roads. Haven't encountered significant snow off road with them yet, maybe this weekend.

They're...fine. Running the SL versions because those were supposed to be better in snow with their softer tread compound. Nowhere close to a dedicated winter tire still, but it might buy me a month more time going on/coming off than a regular all-season.

I will take you up on your offer. For the Flash Sale, it takes me to Discount Tire Direct. Is the flash sale good for the regular website so I can get all the work done at my local store?

Also, I am going for 265/70/17 on my stock 2017 TRD Sport Rims. I read all over Tacoma World that is OK to go one size up from the stock 265/65/17 tires. Agree?

I'd like to know this too, I'd rather go to my local store and keep those employees all getting paid than buy them on the internet. @Discount Tire do you have any advice?

Yes, the 265/70R17 would be a good fitment. Regarding the sale, although the Flash sale is for our mail order division Discount Tire Direct, we are happy to help PM on the way.

Thank you for your inquiry, PM on the way

I'd guess that they were looking for a certain wear rating or braking compound rubber. More rubber or more dense rubber would do that. No need for sidewall reinforcement for load rating, just a better wear rating. I dunno for sure, just my .02

Better than K02s? I'm looking for new tires all my friends got K02s. We also live in MT so icy roads and deep snow trails.

I went with 265/70r17 Wildpeaks on my '21 stock TRD Sport rims right from the dealership. No issues at all and they look great. I think the '17 Sport rims are same offset as the '20/'21s (-30) so should be fine. I think some others on here have had slight rubbing with that size on different rims due to different offset. Certainly seems plausible my friend.

KO2's are severely overrated and don't do well in rain, ice or snow relative to what you pay for them. These Wildpeak's on the other hand...much cheaper in price, less aggressive looking in terms of its sidewall but definitely have a nice tread pattern and bite to 'em. With excellent road manners to boot.

Just got them put on in a 265/75/r16 last week and we just got 14" of snow at my house. I live on an unpaved dirt road and was the first one out so breaking trail was no problem. So much traction for going and stopping. I definitely pushed them today and they were very confidence inspiring.

If I could get some info on making a purchase at my local discount tire regarding the flash sale, it would be much appreciated.

Yesterday got a little sloppy in the afternoon and I was able to plow through piles left by the plows and no problem with hills heading home. This morning was -3 and it didn't seem as if the town plowed at all so it was all a sheet of ice. They did as good as I could hope on solid ice short of being a studded snow tire. This afternoon should be in the 30s so we'll see how they do in the slush. I am very happy to be rid of my factory highway tires.

Long time lurker ready to add to truck! The Discount Tire link won’t work for me? .......just keeps trying to load? I have tried going through their site on a dif window but the 265/70/17 only come up with a heavy e rating? I was trying to take advantage of the flash deal.....I guess it’s going to end in a bit too.......but would also like to help out the crew at the local store. Thoughts?

Any chance you've got some experience with BFGs? Would really be interested in a comparison. I guess everybody knows what BFGs are like when it gets a little wet outside.
