I don’t get much snow around here but when I have the Falkens have done we. Liked them better than the Toyos. Getting ready to put another set of Falkens on once new wheels arrive.

Have any of you guys started to get dry rot above where the bead is? Tires are about a year old with 25k miles.

Where are people getting the best price on these lately? Ebay? I'm going to need to replace mine before too much longer. 265/70/16 SL.

I'm sure this has been discussed, but what PSI do you guys run? I have 265/70r17. I'm currently set at 40 in the front, and 36 in the rear. Feels a little soft in the front, but its hard to tell if its my tire or worn out suspension. I saw another thread where people were saying they run at about 32 psi, if I drop it that low, it feels completely mushy.

I have that size on our 4th gen 4runner and I run them at 34 front and 32 rear and it’s pretty spot on. Even wear and great ride. This is with 5100’s and dobinsons springs.

    edit: SL rated 4 ply

interesting, thanks. I have the SL 4 ply (my tires have 115T on them) as well. but yea, if i drop it below 36 PSI, it feels way too soft/mushy. I feel like it needs to be at least 38, and 40 seems to feel best (though I havent done a chalk test, which I've been meaning to do)

I switched from 285/75/16 E rated KO2s to 265/75/16 SL AT3W. So far the truck feels much lighter and ride is a tad softer. Went with wildpeaks due to their wet rating for the PNW.

What are your thoughts on the road noise, KO2 vs Wildpeak?

With either tires I would still want to install sound deadener to help with the road noise. I have an exhaust and air intake, so it is a little loud in the low gears.
Wildpeaks are a little quieter but noise from the KO2 never bothered me.

Currently where is the cheapest price for the 265/75/16 wildpeaks..?
So far lowest I’ve seen is 218
That’s almost double what I paid for the first set..!

For the current prices on the wildpeaks I would look at other brands.

I just paid $215 for the 265/70R16 112T version. Part costs are still inflated due to the supply chain issues I believe.

I bought the new version of the BFG Trail terrains for less than the Falkens this weekend. The Falkens are good....at a price point.

But I highly suggest you get religion about tire rotations with them. 5000 is a good interval. I was doing 10k (every other oil change) and they got freaking LOUD to the point I just wanted them gone.

Me too around this price but I got the DT rebates during winter time. Sales are just around the corner although likely will be less generous going forward b/c of supply chain issues.

Yeah I def could have waited for a rebate or sale; I was too impatient and wanted to keep low mileage on my stocks so I could sell them easier.
