Sucks they are wearing so quickly. Some people are reporting good wear though. What's the difference? Is it LT's vs. P Metric's?

I'm assuming the P's are made from silica and the LT's are not! :notsure:

I am wondering if it's something like a heat related thing. Maybe speed. When I upgraded to 285's from the 265, my 265's were still at 13/32ish at 5k miles. It seems totally random the folks who are getting rapid wear.

The wear that Moe is reporting is crazy fast, I just measured mine at 11,800mi and have 12/32-11/32 of tread, mine are the standard load not LTs

    Thank you!

Forgot to do a mileage update last night since I just measured them. I am right around the 12,000 mile mark give or take. Fronts are measuring just under 9/32 of an inch and the rears are right around 8/32 of an inch. Wear is fairly even across the tread. One of them does have a fairly decent slice across the top of the tread. Not sure where it came from kind of looks like someone took a super sharp razor blades and made a cut over the tread. Nothing is leaking just a little "where the hell did this come from"

So are you measuring to the wear bar or the total depth? I know I've been right behind you on mileage and tread wear, but I've been going off of the full depth measurement

Like i said I just measured 4.5-5/32nds to the wear bar this morning, @Discount Tire Direct said I will qualify for the pro rating at 3/32nds to the wear bar.

Right, but I haven't been paying close enough attention to see a there is a pattern pertaining to the type of tire being used and to what is getting reported. I know the info is here I'm just to lazy to go back and research it. I guess all I'm trying to say is just wondering if anybody noticed a pattern to which one's are better as far as tire wear
Might be. It's got to be due to something though. Some seem to get great mileage and others seem to be wearing so fast it's unreal

well shit ok, so I'm 6/32ish off the wear bar then so basically the same exact wear rate as you. When I spoke to them they said total tread depth I guess they must have changed and now want it off the wear bar.
    Thanks!

Ya this tread wear on these tires is pathetic. I probably wont even make it til July 25 2017 with these tires, not even 1 year on the truck.....:pout:

Yeah I know the only reason these aren't toast for me yet is because I had winter tires on for 4,600 miles. Trying to drag it out till Labor Day just to pick up the sale again but probably won't happen if I only have 3/32 left now to send them in.

I'm around 12k and I just measured 11/32 so 9/32 to the wear bar. I have the P rated, I'd say 95% highway since I put them on because I've been so busy lately. How have you been driving?

only thing I miss about my 4cyl is the comical value it makes when you put your foot in it and its revving up "wow it sounds so snotty" and you look at the speedo and its def not matching the noise its making
