Same problem as the "old" Wildpeak's.

Tread life sucks. Poor siping makes them bald before they're "bald."

I developed a vibration after putting my lift on (drove 3 miles to get my alignment done post lift). I replaced the needle bearing with the egcs bushing, and that vibration went away. However I still had some vibration that felt like driveline vibration.

In the mean time, I took the truck in for its 15k service. When they rotated the tires, the vibration moved to the front. The steering wheel started vibrating really bad as well. When they went to balance the tires, one of the tires needed 12.5 ounces to balance correctly.

I took the truck to Discount tire, and they said they would replace the tire for me. I am wondering if I should even bother. The rest of the tires are at 8/32nds with only 10k miles on them. Im am contemplating jumping ship now, get some $$$ back, and get something different... it's a shame because I liked the tire overall.

Better question, how are the atp's? I like my ko2s, but the Cooper atw's on the wife's 5th gen T4R have been awesome too. Curious how you like the atp's.

    I love them.

    Second set.

Daily driver, lot of highway, they wear great for me.

Last set was 265/75/16, current set is 255/75/17. Both in SL load.

Took the new tires out for the first deep back country patrol. Lots of narrow trails with sharp and abrasive rocks in a crew cab Ram 1500. A couple times the only option I had to make a turn was to plant the rear wheel on a boulder and use it as the pivot point. Only minor Rock rash to show for it, no scratches or cuts.

With that kind of weight, its sounds a combination between the tire and the wheel. Maybe needs to be spun around on the wheel. Don't get a new tire...too much tread gap.

I'm still really liking mine on my 4 Runner. A out to do my first rotation in a couple hundred miles.

I have the shorter Husky mud flaps mounted so I can't speak for the stock flaps. At full lock turned right, there is an approx 3/4" gap. At half turn, there is a 1/2" gap from the most protruding point on the Husky (the tape measure is 1/2" in width). The last photo shows the full lock.

My 245/70 is 30.8". A 245/75 is almost a full inch more at 31.7". That would be 1/2" tacked on to my tire radius. Gap is 1/2".

There are people that swear they have no rubbing issues with 31.7" Falkens on stock suspension and you will find people that do. I think this inconsistent rub/no rub reports are attributed to a combination of stuff like condition of suspension, caster setting, personal tolerance etc.

I didn't have any issues moving to a SL245/75/17 (31.5") falken prior to the Bilsteins, but the different wheels changed my offset. Moving from 30mm to 15mm, that could explain why I didn't have rubbing

Could be. I believe offset is another important factor to the rub/no rub issues. If I remember correctly, my TRD 17x7 wheel has a 4mm BS, whereas the stock 17x7.5 sported a 30mm BS. As such, the TRD wheel would get pushed out a little. That caused some concerns for me on the rubbing. In fact, while researching, I found that people were experiencing more rubs with the TRD 17x7 and 265/70 combo than the stock wheel w/ 265/70. I just played it safe and went w/ 245/70 and have no regrets.

I tried "TRIPLE30" but that code didn't work. However, "TRIPLE15" did.

So Discount Tire didn't care that you used a Jet.com promo code to take another $30 off the price of two tires? I'm surprised.

Just had a HARD off-road code 3 run to an ATV rollover. The Wildpeak's seem to have more grip, even in soft sand, than the 4.7L in my work Ram 1500 has torque. In 4X4 I couldn't easily bust them loose and drifting corners barely felt like drifting, more like a normal turn.

Well, good call on using Jet.com. I was able to get four of the 265/65R18 for $147.25 each for a total of $589 from DTD. Once I get the $75 Memorial Day rebate returned I will have paid $514 for these. Pretty good price for AT truck tires.
