There's nothing concrete to pinpoint anything just yet, but from some the experiences from the members here, there may be an issue with a batch of the 265/75R-16 PLT version (non LT).

Thanks. I'm by no means a smart man. But that's what it looked like the issue was

Got the new wheels and tires put on today. Method Grid 18x9 with -12 offset and 265/65R18 Falken Wildpeak ATW tires. There's a slight rub on half turn but it's on stock suspension right now. Once I get the Bilsteins, OME 887s, and Headstrong leafsprings on it should be fine.

Lifting won't help fit tires. Just trim it, it'll still rub when lifted when the suspension cycles.
Or get LR UCAS and play with the caster adjustment. Either way you'll likely still rub due to rim offset so at the end of the day you'll just have to :sawzall:

Not really a great measurement yet but I've got 1k miles on my tires now. I measured treadwear right at 14/32nds with the line sitting over the 13 after mounting. At 1k miles it hasn't moved a hair. That's good news as had the treadwear problem been universal, I'd have expected to see some movement already. Fingers crossed!

Anyone running the LT-285 wish they would have went P metric? Currently I have Nitto Trail Grappler in load C but I want something quiter and better riding. I really like these falken but the treadwear issues concern me so I am considering going with the LT size.

I have P rated 265/75R16s and I don't have any tread wear issues. I wouldn't be too concerned about it either because if you do have any issues it seems like Falken will take care of you.

OK, just got my tires mounted and they wouldn't balance, so they used bead bags in them. Should I be concerned I got a bad set? @Falken @Discount Tire Direct

Did they rotate the tire on the wheel and try to balance again?

Ok, just gave it a good drive. Not real happy. Super smooth below 55mph. Over 55, vibrates and shakes like a mofo. Aren't those bead bags supposed to balance the wheel at all speeds? Should I have another shop try and balance them??

I've never used the beads but my buddy has mentioned them to me before he tried rotating the tire on the wheel. I would make the same shop try again before paying another.
