Thank you... Though I'm more confused now...:rofl:

So heavier/stronger than C but not as heavy/strong as E?

What i really need to know.... Is it a good tire?

DTD is price matching for me and the OTD price of all 4 is $531 with the certificates for refund/replace. Hard to find other AT tires that look aggressive for that price.

The max weight load rating (116) means it can carry more weight than a c, but the c will have a stronger sidewall since it is 6 ply instead of 2 or 4 ply.
If you do off roading where there are lots of big rocks that will rub your side wall you will want a c or higher tire.
    Thin sidewalls will get slashed.
If you're mainly highway and off road where sidewalll won't rub (beach or defined trails) then the standard load tire will be great.

More ply = more weight = worse mpg

I do a lot of off roading... But mostly in sand pits...i dont do any rock crawling.

Now driving to the hunting camp i do go over lots of small branches and roots.... Never had an issue with the stock tires.

I noticed this past week that mine are holding rocks like a crack head in a drug house. They don't seem to be ejecting gravel very well. I spent about 10 minutes with a screw driver prying gravel out of the tread after getting sick of the "click, click, click" while driving down the street. Its the first time I've noticed this issue, so I am assuming it was just an anomaly.

Had these put over the weekend. Loving them so far. Very quiet for an all terrain and look even more aggressive than in the pictures.

Checkout the Austin thread, It's really active. They just did a trail last weekend, then yesterday they did Tacos and Tacos (cars and coffee) and drove out to the big off-road park for the day (Hidden Falls). Looks like tons of folks showed up. I didn't make it, but San Antonio isn't active with members like Austin is so I'll be definitely making trips out there to meetup with those folks!

Just an observation, while getting my wife's tires balanced and rotated at Discount Tire I went and looked at Nitto Trail Grappler, Cooper ATP, Duratracs, and BFG KO2s they had outside. I noticed how thin the sidewalls of all of those tires were except the KO2s. All were LT rated and similar sizes. The duratracs felt REALLY thin, and the KO2s felt almost double the thickness of all the rest. Never had any of those tires before, but I'll consider KO2s in the future since they seemed a lot beefier. Wish they had the Falkens out so I could compare.

Anyone have a lead on a decent deal for these in 17in?
The DT eBay link @ $524 is dead and that was about the best deal around after the 4th sale

    Just ordered 265/75/16.

Discount tire direct beat the lowest price i could find which was bbwheels at the time... They had em for 118... But now they went back up to 125...

DTD quoted me 465 shipped... I went ahead and added the certificates for refund or replacement and the total was 531. Not bad at all!!

Can't wait to throw them on the truck.

UPS should be delivering my tires between 11:15 and 1:15pm tomorrow... I paid the $8 bucks on the website to pick a 2 hour delivery window.. First time doing that but lately UPS has been coming at 7 and 8pm. A couple weeks ago they delivered my cold air intake at 9pm...

If they dont deliver in the time frame you dont get charged...

If they deliver in time I'll put them on tomorrow since my wife is off and can watch the kids... If not I'll have to pay my niece $20 to babysit on Friday so i can go get them put on then... Because waiting until next week is not happening...

I know none of this is important... But nobody here gives a damn about my tires so i came here to talk LOL

I pulled the trigger and have a set being delivered tomorrow too. But I won't get home early enough to get them on till Friday.

Why dont you save your $20 and bring the kids with you? That's what I'm doing Friday.
There's nothing that gets you done faster than screaming kids running around the waiting room trashing things and annoying other customers.
It's like an automatic front of the line pass

I whoop my kids if they act like that!! Quick! Right in front of everyone if need be.

I live out in the woods... It's about an hour drive to get to discount tire... Or nearly any other place for that matter... After install id like to test em in the sand pits... So I'll be a while... Easier by myself.

I'd take my kids to the install shop AND the off-road testing fun after. All 4 of my kids love off-roading, the 18 month and 4 month olds actually fall asleep the bumpier the trail.

What size did you end up getting? Any rubbing? You have the same truck as I do and I like the way those look with the sport rims.

First two are adopted, #3 was the result of 5 rounds of fertility treatments, and #4 wasn't supposed to be able to happen since we are both "broken." But you're right, neither of us get any breaks anymore.

I commend you for adopting! I tell my wife if she ever wants another child we should adopt... But I'd prefer to adopt an older kid... Not old old... Just past the diaper and bottle stages lol

So far I'm digging the tires... I'll write more on that later. About to hit the sandpits and do some more "testing"

The first pictures are right after install. It was raining. Drove home 50 minutes in the rain at speeds up to 75mph.

Next pics are in the sand pits a few miles from my house.

    The good....

They look excellent on the truck. Makes the truck look bigger and beefier!

No road noise... But then again... if i can hear tire road noise my intake and cai are not working properly lol

Drove excellently in heavy rain. At different speeds and all.

Great grip in sand. In places i normally switch to 4hi i was able to stay in 2wd. In certain spots i did go into 4hi and in 1 particular area i was forced to drop into 4lo.. After burying the back tires a bit In 2wd... In 4lo it walked right up the hill. No problem.

    Now the not so good...

I can feel bumps more... It's not ridiculous but noticeable.

And even though i got the standard load tires it looks like i took a considerable hit in fuel economy... Now i did do quite a bit of off roading today so i will wait before i make a final judgement but even going through town where i normally average 21 i was getting 18 and 19.... Still i can handle that for better performance and better looking tires...

I did go up In size from 245/75/16 to 265/75/16.

So far I'm happy with them!!
