Any one got some pics of SUP's being hauled on racks on top of a canopy. If you have 2 of them do you stack the SUP's or place them side by side if you have wide enough cross bars.

you are good to go. i dont sup, but i race traditional paddleboards. They are 12ft, and about 20 inches wide, so we can put both boards side by side. sups are usually wider (around 30 inches) so depending on the width of the sups you have, and how wide your racks are, you could do either. i will take a guess and assume that stacking them is the most likely play for you. take the fins off and stack them upside down.

you can use traditional tiedowns, but be careful that you get all the slack out because you dont want any chance of them taking off while on the highway. to avoid damage to the boards i usually have a tidedown that is fastened to a bungee cord. This contraption lets me tie the boards more securely and with less force.
