Alright folks. I went to my local dealer ship and showed/told them that it came off. They ordered me a replacement T and will call me when it gets in. Hopefully sooner than later. Was there for no more than 10 minutes.

With that being said, when should I call the original dealership and give them my input. Why they couldn't tell me to go to my local dealer ship since it's covered under warranty is beyond me. Still working on that review..

Thanks for those who assisted me.

Glad to hear it worked out!!! Sounds like your local dealer at least understands how to assist owners.

Unfortunately, I think the only impact you'll have on the seller and that's through a review and feedback through Toyota Customer Service.

Because there's still a lot of dirty dealerships out there and they don't gaf once the check clears.

If you post your negative review make sure you check on it a few days later in incognito mode. I can almost guarantee you it will be suppressed by the merchant. I was truck shopping for 2 months and left a couple negative reviews and they were suppressed. I did a Google customer support ticket and they said they are suppressing them at request of the merchant because of covid-19. It's a joke. My reviews had nothing to do with covid-19 limitations it was about the dealerships straight up lying to me or being dicks.

If you haven't already blown up you're definitely a better person than me haha. I don't do all that good with car salesmen in the 1st place and with something like that I'm pretty sure I would've told them right where to stick that review. I for sure would be leaving a bad review....

Yeah it was pretty frustrating for awhile. But as @ChuckTownRC51 mentioned, they could complain and have the review removed. So gotta do it strategically. Ill just be honest and try to keep calm as possible.

Yes, calmly stating your case, limiting your emotions, and stating only the facts, will be received better and make a more powerful statement to those reading it.

I left a 2 star review and it just stated "sales manager wanted me to negotiate with myself" and it got suppressed. So good luck. I hope you're able to get it through.

If I have an SR, but its a 5 speed, does that make it a SR5, and the SR5 with the 6 speed auto a SR6?!

My vote is yes. I still go by the original definition of SR5 being a drive configuration and not trim.

But Toyota doesn’t care about me. Like AT ALL.

Everyone makes their own choices in life, of course. If it was me I would just be glad your local dealer is taking care of it for you and just move on. Why waste the energy? If you get a dealer survey you can hammer them there -- that data impacts their ability to be a preferred dealer, a high rated dealer or get some kind of Toyota award for outstanding customer service.

And then, of course, there are people getting sued for bad reviews (this is one example but it is happening everywhere):
    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/posting-a-negative-review-online-can-get-you-sued/

I hope you have the dealer look at the truck to make sure nothing else was damaged or broken.

I will also say I am glad this worked out for you! I know how irritating small things can be ... happy you can put this behind you and enjoy your new truck.

Can we just go back to the part where OP didn’t actually inspect the truck in person and very well could’ve purchased a truck with a missing letter, or it happened in transit, or when he was installing his retard, I mean raptor, lights. He doesn’t know when it happened.

that is the biggest thing to take home here folks. He doesn’t know.

why you all jumping on the negative review bandwagon if OP can’t even tell us when the letter went missing?

His local dealership is Taking care of it and got him a new one.

    /thread.

I was thinking about that also, but i think the problem was that the salesman at the purchasing dealership was giving him the runaround.

I really think that men in general are just losing something evidenced by the fact that they discuss the pros and cons of leaving vendor reviews on websites, and getting worked up about how leaving a “bad” review will really “settle the score” with the parties that wronged them.

    Holy fuck.

When you get a new car, im sure you let the smallest things pass you buy until you get home and get take it all in. As I mentioned, The letter went missing before it arrived to it's final destination. Got it?

Really? Don't need to be bashing on other people's choices, what they put on their trucks is up to them. If you wanna be like that then white trucks are ugly af, oopps I mean ugly as fcuk. But hey, if that was all you could afford, congrats though.

I got my raptor lights, you got a blow up doll on the back of yours. who does that? And you’re calling my lights retard... :bananadance:
