Paid for a TOYOTA, received a TOYOA... dealership issue. Advice?

OP, I would tell them (i) it's clear that no impact/damage happened as no other damage in the surrounding area is visible; (ii) you were sold a new truck with a 3/36 bumper-to-bumper warranty; (iii) while cosmetic, it's clear that the damage is likely a defect in manufacture and therefore subject to the 3/36 bumper-to-bumper, and (iv) if they don't want to arrange a replacement, you will go to a local Toyota dealer and be sure to review them (the sales person) as appropriate.

I checked for manufacturer letters From A Toyota oem website Just like you did and I DID NOT see that you could buy the letters individually

I would be a burr in the dealer's ass until they get you a new grill or a set of letters. They shouldn't fall out--and with no sign of accident, there's no reasonable explanation beyond a defect out of your control and subject to the manufacturer's warranty.

Yes true. I guess that’s the downside of online car shopping especially if the car is far away. But this car buying approach does happen and no signs of slowing down.

 

So they put a pretty realistic looking hand on the grill to substitute for the T? Pretty shady if you ask me.

Yes. Salesman said he would of but didn’t. The photo the sale manager sent was apparently the day it was sent out. Which isn’t.

Let me ask you, would a dealership keep the original sellers license plate on the car while it’s on the sales lot for a week or so? I wished I saved the photos of when it was on their website. That may help quite a bit too.
