Other than someone taking the letter off, I don't know how this happens but for a manufacturing defect--even during transport. The letter shouldn't rattle loose, and if the truck were hit, you'd see that damage or evidence thereof around the missing letter. Based on what OP's provided, I don't see that in that picture.

Otherwise, you'd need a very clean, very precise, very direct impact solely focused on that letter. Did someone just go up to it, aim a mallet at the one T, and then said that was that?!

Yeah, the raptor lights (and raptor light install) would be the only thing that troubles me about OP's fight with the dealer, because it's easy to say he knocked something loose during the install and that caused a broken stud on the letter.

Yes yes And yes. No damages whatsoever anywhere! Maybe it just wasn’t on tight from the beginning or someone specifically went for that letter...

Better check the cooler, the letters, the shocks, and the bed cleats with how things have been.

Just order a new grill from sparks parts since you have money to buy a trd pro without even looking at it in person.

Wouldn't hurt to check to see if the army green was actual paint and not a wrap...

Dude, this is way too wordy.

I’m confused about the situation. You bought a used truck from several states away sight unseen? Then you discovered that a letter is missing in the grille? And you want the Toyota or the dealer to fix it?

Just walked to the Garage and looked at mine 2 two part construction. I can feel the pins for the letters from the back.

One for each T? Probably a pretty penny.

If you give us the original link of the Tacoma on their website, there may be ways of retrieving the webpage and pics.

Just remove the first “T” and put it on the missing one. Problem solved
