I recently took my TACO in for maintenace and the mechanic was a Toyota mechanic and mentioned to me about the paint flaking off and (white) and had seen on youtube that this color was not a favorable one becasue of it flacking off. I contacted Corporate and provided my VIN # and they responded back with no recall with the white paint for all white TACO's. Don't know what else to do> I have some touch up paint and primer and have been touching it up. I was hoping that Corporate would offer some assistance with the matter. :annoyed:

I had a 2010 Prius that the white paint flaked off, Toyota didn’t give a crap back then, I’m sure they don’t give a crap now!

Got any pics? I think i may be the only 2022 on here that flaked off so far, that the guy mentioned above that I know of, happened at 10kish miles and about a year and half of ownership. sold for black. never again with white.

If I win the lottery I'm gonna paint my Super White calvary blue, really like that look.
Then I'm gonna go buy a 2023 DC in Red so I can have an AC and a DC.

I feel your pain OP, my the clear coat on my 2013 was gone from hood and roof years ago. When I see first gen Tacomas passing me looking pristine it makes me sad:pout:
Going to repaint my truck soon, sparing no expense and then will have it professionally ceramic coated so I never have to deal with this shit again. Driving mine till the wheels falls off so it’s worth it to me, that and my 10 year old truck still drives like it’s new so I have no problem spending the money on her.
