Voodoo blue , 2019 Tacoma TRD PRO is what I had. When I saw a voodoo Tundra (promo vehicle at Cabelas) , it had the same issues. My new truck (Ford) has one spot of the same too

Those are unfortunately okay per factory standards.

I’ve decided to follow the 5ft rule from now on. Do this on all my vehicles.

If it looks good from 5ft away, it looks good. Disclaimer: Use only for cars. Use with the opposite sex at your own risk

    I wouldn’t doubt that.

or bare metal and it’s up to the owner to figure out a protectant. Dealers offer package kits for wrapping/ painting. Plastidip options for those that want to change the color down the road...

Yeah, who isn't happy drinking hydro loaded with arsenic and lead from the 30,000 gallons of paint sludge Ford Motors poured into a NJ river? Wahhhhh, 'green' legislation, wahhhh. Quotation marks around "retarded" (who says that anymore?!?) would be more appropriate.

OP -- 5' is a good distance. Even for your special squeeze. Don't make your main piece and your sweet truck feel inadequate!

I’ve got some too, OP. Sucks, but I find the more someone (especially dealers) touch your truck to fix it, the more things start going wrong (off color in case of paint). Little things like that I try and just shrug off, but I do get the frustration.

Metal contamination? Maybe try IronX or similar to see if that helps release it.

I've looked at the paint on my 2020, while it appears ok, its very thin. The 01 tundra i had was much thicker with a heavier coat of clear.

My 5 year old 040 has really clean paint. No imperfections or "seeds" as they're called. Been over every inch many times.

    Assembled in Mexico May '15.

My wife's '19 040 Corolla? Meh....different story. Fair number of seeds and even a sag on a door edge. Is what it is. Not like 99.9% of people would even notice or care. My wife certainly doesn't.

    Assembly in Canada December '18.
