It's been raining quite a bit so I haven't washed my truck for a couple months...washed it today and noticed a lot of little white spots all over the hood. Some of the spots have what look like a tiny orange speck in the middle of them, rust looking spot.

Never seen this before. I don't believe this black has a clear coat. Any ideas what this is, and what might take care of it? Hopefully just some good wax...ImageUploadedByTapatalk1454970683.132562.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1454970693.176173.jpg

Sorry for bad pics, hard to get closeup with phone

Is the paint still smooth? The pictures make it look like it is pitted. If it's only on the surface a clay bar or some good polish or rubbing compound may do the trick. If it's pitted it most likely needs to be re painted.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
Hard to tell OP because of the photo quality. At first it looked like sap from trees/bushed. But the orange has me thinking differently. This is just over the hood, correct? Not on the roof, or any other painted surface?

Perhaps the people in the detailing section could take a stab as to what it may be.

Irony....I picked this exact thing up an hour ago and have done half the hood so far. Seems to be doing the trick but I'm having to really go at it hard. Looks much better though!
