    So, what's everyone's opinion on paint-matching an aftermarket bumper? I think the ARB promo pics look pretty sweet, but I haven't seen anyone on here do it. I totally understand the guys who offroad in tight trails a lot not wanting to paint them due to scratches etc. Just wanted to hear some opinions.

    A few bolts are different.
    I like it also. I would think the reason why most people are not paint matching is due to the extra cost. with "paint match" the total price for the bumper would probably be in the $1300 range. That estimate is from the original bumper costing you about $949 then + tax/and or shipping + a good paint job.

    Luckily I have a black truck :D Hope I can get one at some point.

    1. I was too impatient to get it painted. When the delivery truck arrived I took mine to my shop and installed it.

    2. It is easier to cover scratches in black than SWB.

    3. I considered painting my hammered gray. The tough decision was painting front bumper, rear bumper and then sliders.

    4. The white bumper does look awesome though.

    personally i think it depends on the color of the truck as to whether it looks good or not.. i dont think a SWB would look right color matched.. however the white does look great..

    First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
    I think the white is too cheery happy and soft looking. Especially on a white truck.. that ARB truck looks like a cloud.

    Anyway, that's my thinking.. and I guess to be honest an extra $300+ to have the bumper sanded and re-powder coated was not palatable to my frugal tastes.. I'd rather put that money into more mods ;-)

    I think they look better black, regardless of the truck color.

    It looks good color-matched... but even in that picture you can see that it's not a perfect match. I think black bumpers and wheels and running boards/sliders look good on most color trucks... and especially good on SSM and White trucks. Just my opinion.

    Leave it black or rhino-line.

    EDIT: I read too fast and didn't see the fourth option initially. You I'd leave those off the bumper, but put plenty in the back window!

    I chose the "leave it black" option, thats what I preferred. And here is a pick of mine.

    Shrockworks looks badass however there are many guys on the forum that make badass bumpers.
    What to do????
    $1000 tax return =
    * A New bumper - it would be for looks cause I don't do any rock crawling
    * Harley Chrome
    * A new Kimber
