I did a search and could not find a thread, so if there is one in here point me in the right direction please. The plastic parts on my 2016 taco are not the same exact color as the metal parts. Has anyone else had this issue? Example: front bumper does not perfectly match the front fenders and door, etc. I have a white taco.

Plastic parts will always look different. They aren't sprayed in house.

You should be happy if its just a difference between the plastic and the rest as a few guys had doors and fenders that did not match.

I'll try to get some better pics in daylight. It's not a crazy mismatch, but enough to bother me. I showed it to the dealer, they said call Toyota. Haven't gotten around to it yet though. Just wondering if anyone else had the same issue.

Yeah, I'm not broken up about it, just surprised because it is pretty new

The 2nd picture does look like it is a different shade, I would call Toyota.

Yeah, had a feeling I would need to call them, thanks for helping me confirm it's not a typical issue like the other random things with the 2016.

The front bumper, and painted flares, will be different color, because of plastic vs metal....i had it with my white lexus rx350 crafted line , green lexus ls460, white honda fit, 3 silver civics, if you go to any dealer of most makes, you will notice it, In the first picture are you talking about the clear protectant film that is put on to help with rock chips...if so it peels off with little or no residue. I love the look of white but that is a turn off for me, but if you look at the magnetic grey, and silver tacomas, painted flares and sometimes the front to back doors are completely different shades.

That first picture I know for a fact is just a rubber protector on top of the metal. It will look different. I have the same on my white one

Op. First pic is the protective clear paint protection. That bumper would drive me nuts. My Quicksand is perfect all around. I hear of trucks getting messed up at the dealers and getting bumpers repainted..

Please please record it when you do !!!!
    I've got to hear this.:D

PS....every car has a noticible difference in shade between plastics and the sheetmental parts.
It's more noticible on lighter color cars like whites and silver.
My white truck looks just like yours. The bumper is more yellow.
Even if you have it re-painted it still will always be different.

I feel ya, of all the white trucks I've owned, this is the only time I'm not loving the plastic to metal paint match. They are usually very close. Maybe my eyes are getting older lol

My Silver Mustang is 25 years old and there is zero difference between the metal and plastic, maybe they did something different in the factory back then versus today.

No, there's a difference, you just can't see it.

I have owned it for 18 years and see no difference, guess that is a good thing.
