I bought a set of these with intentions of getting rid of the red. I also got a set of decals made to go over the logo and they fit great, but with tolerances being different and me trying to put them on by hand, it's not as clean as I'd like it. There are a couple of spots here and there around the edges where some red can be seen.

Any suggestions on another approach short of using a sharpie/paint pen? Is there some kind of paint that will fill in the recessed letters with a good outcome?

I sell the decal inserts for these. Because of the tight tolerance to fit the decals in the indented letters, if they are not perfectly centered very small slivers of red may be visible.

From a normal standing distance this is not noticeable but to completely cover the red You can try running a Sharpie around the edges of the letters before applying the decals.

Easiest way to paint in small spaces is to get a cheap syringe and draw up some paint in it then "inject" the paint into area. Work your way around the letter and let dry before adding more paint.

Thanks for the suggestions. I actually got the decals from rrentrop's ebay store, no complaints with them at all. Using a fine tip sharpie to help cover the edges actually crossed my mind.

I also like the syringe idea, but what type of paint?

Usually like a thin craft paint. One thats rated for outdoor crafts/projects. Could find some at walmart probably.
