I'm 2 months into owning my 2020 TRD Sport. It's my daily driver, kid hauler, etc. I've done pretty well so far at keeping the dings and scratches at bay, but as someone who is bothered by these things, I am wondering what are my options to try to protect against these?

I've got the full hood protection and door edge film from the factory already (the doors need to be redone as they are bubbling/cracking). I'd love more protection on the doors, bumpers and bed panels. Historically I've had lots of scratching in my door handle cups and have seen some film that is cut to fit those spots.

What are folks using/recommending? Ceramic coating? Full wrap?

I know folks will say to just accept the scratches and dings but I plan to have this truck for a while and would love to keep it looking clean and mean for as long as possible.

I did ceramic coating and super happy with it, took me about 4-5 hours and it came out 90% perfect. It actually protects from swirl marks and minor/light scratches. I did it last summer and water still beads like crazy, and the paint is much easier to clean. I noticed it also makes your paint shinier a bit. The only thing i regret is not doing it sooner, the paint on tacos is so freaking thin.

I got no experience with the wrap, but im sure its better protection. It does cost more and you cant do it yourself. If i had extra money, i would probably do the wrap, since i go camping and hit trails sometimes. Best protection for pinstriping. You can also look up Goat Armor, really cool protection for your paint.

    Good luck !

@Mrtacoman88 , what ceramic coating product did you use? I’m thinking of doing it myself as well but haven’t decided on a product yet.

I used this guy, good price. Guys charge anywhere from 1200-1600 to apply ceramic coating.

Not sure if you have the same product where you are.

    Good luck!

Thanks! I'm also in Canada so I should be able to get it at my local Canadian Tire.

Definitely interested in this too, anything to protect the paint from the Canadian winters.
