What are the best options for paint protection? I park my Taco outside and live in California. It's starting to heat up and I've heard paint is not the best on these trucks. Also..how often is it advised to wash your truck? I haven't given my taco a bath in months and wondering if that will also affect the health of my paint. My taco is white btw and only owned for less than a year.

Never go in automated car washes. They damage the paint. Hand wash yourself biweekly or monthly. Washing your truck is just as important as getting oil changes and tire rotations.

Touch up paint is your friend. That’s about it, besides washing it once a month.

Wash you truck just like anything else "when it gets dirty".
I use the below products with very good results on the near two year old TRD Sport below. I've also always used Meguiar's products on the 1996 below with 24 year old original paint.
