Paint removal fender flares

    2022 TRD Off Road Lunar Rock, 2014 Tundra Crew Max TRD 5.7L
    I've got a 19, TRD Sport, cement gray. I prefer the black fender flares. Has anyone stripped the paint from their flares? If so, what process did you use? I DON'T want to repaint them black. I'm also assuming the flares are black beneath the paint?
