I wouldn't plastidip them, I'd either take the time to do them right (search around, there are threads devoted to it) or I'd pay someone to do it. I looked into it and it was around $120-150 to have all 4 painted.

A lot of people on this site have painted their stock rims. I painted mine with Rustoleum about 13 months ago and they still look great...no chipping or anything.

Mine was done last year, no problems so far. The guy that painted mine cleaned the wheels with steel wool & water, then three coats of self-etching primer, finally three coats of NAPA 7244 Toyota trim black. A pro quality gun was used. Make sure to sand it inside of the Toyota emblem on the caps.

Performance mods: TRD CAI, AFE throttle body spacer, Doug Thorley headers, TRD exhaust. Cosmetic mods: HID 10k head+3k fog lights, BHLM, T-rex 2 eyelids, billet grill (5 piece), 20% front window tint, 4% back window tint, tinted 3rd brake light, altezza tail lights, LED license plate lights, door skid protectors, slotted drilled rotors, plasti dip rims, painted rotor and drums. Interior mods: TRD seat covers, LED map and dome lights, 2 kicker 10' w/ 500 watt amp, pioneer door speakers, and Pioneer AVIC X930BT.
If you're going to plasti dip them wash them off with soap and water let it dry and then use index cards instead of tape. It will save you so much time compared to taping.

Try powder coating, it will be like the stock paint.
