just bought a 2006 tacoma prerunner. sure do like it. i was polishing the truck this morning and noticed on both sides from the bottom of the truck up about a foot the paint is not smooth. small raised bumps of paint about the width of a BB but smaller in height. have to get up close to see them. the bumps are only a couple of inches wide together about a foot from the botton of the truck where maybe a 2nd coat of paint was applied. they go all along the bottom from back door to the front door on both sides. has anybody noticed anything like this on their tacoma?

    First: welcome aboard

Second: this has been answered many times on here as well as other places on the internet.
There is an undercoating applied there underneath the paint to help prevent rock chips. Most cars/trucks have this if you look closely.

Anymore it seems the majority of cars have some sort of anti chip paint down low like that.
