    Hmmm I have some similar spots like that.

    Everything can be fixed, the question is if its worth the time/money.

    With something like that you would have to grind that down to bare metal and repaint it. If the rust goes al the way through the metal you'll have to bondo or weld plate metal to the hole sand and paint. Being on a seam might make it tough, but being in the door would make less of a worry about aesthetics.

    put truck nuts on my 2000 Ranger
    I had a little rust like that in a few spots. I just sanded off the rust, primed, and painted. I got touch up paint from walmart that ain't even close to matching radiant red, but it's hard to notice unless the door is open.
