3" Lift via OME 881's, Bilstein 5100's, Dakar OME 3" leaf packs, MBRP custom exhaust, HID headlights, CB, Canopy, aluminum wheels, upgraded sound system, full set of studded snow tires and wheels, auxilary lighting, more to come.

Same man... or strip them completely... I think putting them back on will be painstaking as far as the tailgate badge...

Good on 'ya, looks awesome. This is exactly how I want to do mine. I think it will look good on Rad Red. I'm going with gloss, though. I did the grill, have the badges, bumpers, and fender flares left to go!!!!!!!!

Looks great. I didn't have the patients to put them back on after I painted them.

I don't see how you guys would go through the effort of puttin them back on if you wax your truck periodically.

Yeah. That's one of the reason's I decided not to put them back on. It does make waxing alot easier especially the tailgate.

I bought new badges and painted those so I dont have to take the old tape off the badge and cut up new tape to put on.

I like to heat the badges as you did but instead of using fishing line I pry the badge aganst the tape and peel it off. I get most of the tape off without having to use chemicals or elbow grease.

I think the black badges look great

With everyone saying they wouldn't put the badges back on due to the effectiveness of waxing, how well does the adhesive markings (left after taking them off) come off the paint? If you used anything to get them off, what was it?

Simon, what was the reason for the taped corner around the badge when taking them off?

The markings are barely noticeable on mine. With yours being even newer I bet it would show even less. It may just take a little bit of scrubbing and a few washes but I bet it will go away.

I believe the tape is so that he puts them in the same spot.

i just debadged my tailgate (truck only a week old) and when i heated them and got them off there was barely any adhesive left, and what was left i was able to peel off with my fingers then just wiped it down with a cloth i dipped in hot water and cleaned it up and rubbed some polish on it and it looked as if they were never put on! but from my personal experience is if you are considering debadging, sooner is better then later! u can always put them back on or buy new ones if you decide you no longer like it

I did the same thing last week but i went with a speckled black look. Basically, half way through painting i realized I liked how they looked speckeld. I think the most tedious part was putting on the 3M tape and peeling all the backing off the small pieces
