Thinking of changing the red/orange color of the calipers and drums on my 3rd gen sport. Not liking the look anymore.

Any suggestions on how to go about this?

Can I just spray grey or black right over the red?
Do I need to prep or primer first?
I don’t need to remove the parts to do this do I?

    thanks in advance

(duplicate post, I know. I originally posted in Wheels and Tires forum and need that post deleted - mods, please)

    No
Only if you really enjoy overspray on every other part and panel.

The only prep really needed is maybe a quick rinse to get all the surface dirt off. Then just mask off and spray.
