That clearcoat looks good, I was thinking the same exact thing tonight as I rattled away 15 coats of clearcoat on my cell phone case I just painted because I was bored as hell!

edit: shit I just baked it too long, the clear coat is all fucked haha

i would do them red personally. i think red and blue is a good combo but anyways good job on painting it. are you gonna clear coat it? i think clear coating it makes it look somewhat factory so give it a shot![IMG]

that is a bad place to have your air filter...doesn't it get wet whenever you are driving in the rain?

Thats the best place to have your airfilter. You can get a plastic covering for them that allows the air to pass but catches dirt and mud.

    Looking good guys.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
That's a CAI (cold air intake). That is how they come. Stock air boxes pull from inside the fender well.

Very nice! A little clearcoat and it'll look awesome. The silver/black/blue look is very clean.

I just went with the solid color, I was too lazy to make any designs.

Ironic.I used to use 1000s of gallons of paint a year, and i wouldn't paint anything on my truck myself. I paint the road lines for a living, lay out the lane lines, etc!

What's that extra pipe coming out of your CAI going to the grill? Extra inlet?

dam coupe...I can tell you were bored...:D but that looks really good...nice job...

yes its an extra inlet with a slight upward angle...its a 3" Diameter Pipe...it allows his engine to reach ambient air temps for the intake quicker...giving him more power...:D

so this is probably a dumb question but ill ask anyways...I didn't have time to paint my cover this weekend and I want to start tonight but wasn't sure if it's ok to drive without the engine cover on. I have about a 10 minute commute (~4 miles) and I'd only go there and back in the next 24 hours... Any thoughts?
