Looks great! Why not do some white on the inside if you havent already? And i disagree, there are PLENTY of things to do with these trucks. You
just have to use your imagination-which you obviously have a good one.

I've actually already carbon fiber wrapped everything inside. Also got wet okole seats and matched all 4 door panels, center consol, and painted the whole center consol black! Looks great I'll post pics once I'm done but interior is almost finished

Bump an older thread but I like it boss ! thinking of trying a simliar project with my dad. Question on the Red TRD logo. Do you know approx the dimensions on it? Was it just the red background or also the white TRD also as part of the decal? there's lots of diff kinds on etsy etc. I also found some lettering for the engine but for a newer model so i'm not sure if the V6 or Toyota would match up but I may give it a try to see. either way this is SHARP!

hey guys- @DrFunker, others can anyone give some advice on what type of tape to use during the masking off phase of the center portion? the OP (who I can't tag for some reason) mentions automotive tape. Ive never done anything like this before can anyone give a recommendation to what type of product to use for taping off and also what's the steps, procedure in doing so ? I have bought all the paint in the same brand and very specific just like he used in his products. Hoping for the best. Also, 800 grit sandpaper is what he suggested ? thanks ! looking to tackle in the coming weekend once all products are delivered. It was very difficult to find these paints in the exact type in stores so I had to use like 3 diff sources online.

I used the same paint as the OP(Krylon Fusion), but did not use a primer. Krylon Fusion is meant for plastic, and claims no primer is required, but couldn't hurt to use.

The biggest thing is prep. Making sure the cover is completely clean of any oil or contaminants. Any of that stuff will prevent a good hold of the paint and chip or flake off later. Many light coats is way better then 1 heavy coat. This will help prevent runs, or orange peal of the paint.

I am currently working on repainting the fender to my motorcycle using spray paint. I have to do it every few yrs as it gets chipped up by rocks from the road. Paint, wet sand, paint, clear, wet sand, clear. You can make the finish totally smooth and look like the exterior paint if you put in the time and effort.

FB_IMG_1482857886389.jpg the front fender, fork guards, and rear luggage were all black or white plastic. They have been painted and cleared with spray paint to match the bike.
