I got tired of everything else on the truck being black ad having a chrome tool box so over the weekend I decided I would paint it black to match. Tell me what ya think. Like or hate?

Well I got some steel wools at O'Reilly and really spent some time roughing the surface. I also got a can of adhesion promoter from O'Reilly and sprayed on after I roughed and cleaned the surface. I then applied a can of primer and then 3 layers of Kyrlon Satin black paint. :)

    Krylon instead of Kyrlon.

I would like to know how long it will last. Most of the painted tool boxes I've seen start to chip before long. I've thought about having mine powder coated.

Hmm, I bought a black toolbox just like that from tractor supply but mine wouldn't fit behind the wheel wells?

Well everyone else's wouldn't either. I have no idea why mine does.
