Hey guys, I found a used 3mo old ARE CX classic with slider windoors plus light strips & yak rack for 1,300$, i priced one new with all the same gimmicks for almost 2,800$. Now i just need to see some pics of how the windoors are mounted to see if i can remove them to paint it.. it’s in Voodoo blue. I need to get it painted cement. My friend owns a body shop so i can get a deal on the paint. You think it’s worth it?

yeah its worth it depending how much he will charge you for the paint job. You could Vinyl wrap it.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
I've removed all of my windows to reseal them. There's a bunch of screws on the inside that you need to remove. There are two trim pieces that when screwed together pinch the window in place. You can do it by yourself since the outer part will be held in place by the compressed weather strip, but it would be good to have a 2nd person holding it from the outside while you do the inside.

You can remove the back flip up window too, but it is rivited in place and they need to be drilled out. Might not be worth going that far, but if you do you can bring it to a ARE shop and they'll re-rivit it back. Probably cost you $50. Maybe call and ask before you go that far.
