Has anyone ever painted, spray painted, or plasti-dipped their front bumper grille? Mine has faded considerably from black to a grey color, and since I’m about to blackout the truck, I was interested in seeing if anyone had done this.

No, but a buddy of mine went with a middle ground.... I'd highly recommend not doing plasti dip on that area. He was going to go to the auto body paint shop and buy some undercoating and use that.... simply mask off all other areas...stay out of a windy area and make sure to allow it to dry. But in his case he was stalling for time cause there was a crack in it, but needed the part to last another 7 months or so till he could properly replace the part. What he ended up doing was going with a vinyl wrap on the outside, then used the undercoat spray on the inside to cover the make shift repair that was done. Worked pretty well and held up a lot longer than either of us thought it would. Maybe a vinyl wrap would help you out till you were sure what you wanted to do?

On my 13 that part is definitely gray, not faded.

    Contrasts with my black bumper.

Since that is a high wear area from road debris, I suggest removing it and finishing with a product like Monstaliner. www.monstaliner.com

And here I was thinking that whole blackout trend was coming to and end. Shame on me! Long live Kitt!

Meguiars back or black treatment or remove it and prep it for paint and use SEM Trim paint for an OEM look. Or use Raptor liner plastic prep spray and then Raptor liner spray.
