So I am wanting to paint my front bumper/grill and I need some suggestions. I was thinking of either doing it all flat black or making everything that is chrome a gloss black and re do the rest flat black again. Any suggestions?

    Get headlight fillers

Take bumper off and beat out that dent

Get clear signals or tint those.

Then you can paint over chrome. Mine is all matte black.

I seen and liked the chrome painted a gunmetal gray and inner grills left black

I painted my bumper and grille matte black. I would leave the Tacoma emblem chrome if I were to do it again.

I just wanted to say that I prefer to not have everything the same, but then the truck above where everything is matte actually looks good.
Otherwise, I would say do some parts, say what's chrome now in gloss black, and the rest matte, or some black and some parts a metallic gray or gunmetal gray.

I did my bumper (and some other parts) in MGM (magnetic gray metallic).

Either way, good job for getting rid of that chrome! :)

In addition to my post above, if you can't get the dent out of the bumper, matte will be better than gloss. Gloss will make the dent more visible than matte.

Honestly, I think I like the black bumper with the chrome grill better, but too late now! Maybe gunmetal would look good or gloss? I doubt I'll change anything for a while.

@devinzz1 I think the clear corners look funny with the black grill.

I like the grill but I'm just wondering...What is the point of doing this to your headlights? Were they too bright?
