painting front bumper question

    want to paint my middle section of front bumper. any clues how to detach mid section of bumper from entire front bumper?

    It's very easy.

    - remove grill, it's 2 10mm bolts, and 2 clips, and the grill pops right out.
    - next, there are 2 plastic shrouds near each headlight. They remove with 1 clip each.
    - Look down, and you'll see a blue plastic clip on each side of the lower valance, remove those.
    - then, start unclipping the valance from inside, don't just start yanking on it!

    Honestly, it's much easier than it looks.

    The whole bumper does not need to come off, but there are 2 blue clips holding the trim on and also the tabs need to be massaged out from the inside.

    I know what I wrote above may not make a lot of sense, but once you start working on the truck, it will make sense.

    I've done it a few times and it only takes like 5 minutes to remove that bumper trim now.

    thanx soooo much. everyone is soo helpful. with the exception a a few wise crackers but even they are not really that bad. i'll get started today. thanx
