Painting grill need help

    I am painting a grill i bought from parts geek:
    It came unpainted so i am color match to my truck(IE7)Silver streak.
    Here is what i did:
    I sanded
    cleaned
    used plastic primer
    sanded
    cleaned
    painted silver

    I have a small area right in the middle of the top of the grill that has like spider cracks. what should i do?

    do it all over again, if not you will have layering and other people might not notice it but you will notice it, so save yourself some heart ache and just sand it all and do it over again

    Cover King Seat Covers, WeatherTech Liners, PopNLock, storage bin locks, N-Fab Step bars, and G4 Elite Tonneau cover.
    Sounds like a spot of oil or solvent. You can sand and blend if you are patient. If you have clear coat on it I'd sand it all of and redo.

    My favorite body shop refused to paint my grill.

    They said because it's plastic, they can't bake on the paint and it'll always have problems with chipping. So I'm learning to live with the non-color-matched grill look.

    yea, i used rubbing alcohol also.
    when i did mine i didnt use a primer, just scuff sanded the original paint.
    but i also used a paint designed for plastic ???? went black

    Its only plastic, i would just try again

    what i did is took of all emblems first sanded, primer wet sand it primer again and 1 more time . then a painted them pearl black then shot a clear that went great came out bad ass . so i take on challenge on grille said ah piece of cake mind you before this went to couple of shops and 1 shop was like well statred giving me this storie soi said thats cool went to another shop guy says about 250 for everything emblems and grill i thought to myself pretty steep for my pocket right now so anyways did emblems now trying grill just was not satisfied been like that for a week or so call that guy from shopp going to charge me 100 i rushed over and decided to go with white rim ,pearl black on other cant wait .so thats my storie .
