Ok guys I have an SR5 so it came with the chrome grill trim and chrome bumper (not a fan). I was thinking of bed lining them both or doing plasti dip or something, black though (truck is speedway blue). What do you think? Should I go for it? I tried searching for some pics but I cant really find much, post them up if you see any?

Also I am open to other ideas if you have any but I am trying to avoid getting color matched parts because of cost.

i'm picking up my 2012 DC TRD 6 spd tomorrow and when i was looking at the other ones on the lot I was thinking the same thing. I'm gonna see if there is anyway they would trad the grill and bumper off a base model and switch it out but i probably should have demanded that before I signed the papers...

i think that some fine sandpaper and then just paint them black. i'm gonna do the same for the lettering... my truck is also blue

I wouldn't black the chrome on a Speedway blue. Would look horrible IMO. Just get it done right and color match it

I'm planning on getting a color matched grille for my 2012 SR5 Nautical Blue and Line-Xing the rear bumper once I get the funds (because various other mods I have found on TW have sucked me dry so far).

I just sanded them down and then spray painted them. It's worked out so far.
