Random, but I'm sure there's a good answer or 20 lurking here in the TW community...

I recently purchased the Weathertech hood deflector. Hate the way it looks, but it does help with wind noise on my rack and deflects quite a few bugs, especially in the middle of the windshield in my primary field of vision. So I'm willing to keep it on there for those reasons as it is high profile enough to actually do more than aesthetics and hood protection.

What I hate is the glossy black finish. All the matte/powder black on my SSM really pops with the paint color, but the glossy looks out of place. What's a good, clean option for black matte or even a decent DIY powder coat for this? Don't want to plasti-dip and make it too thick as it's a pretty snug fit as-is...

Would you mind sharing pics and a link to the deflector? Thinking of getting one...

Here's the link. It's the heavier duty of the 2 they offer. The other one probably looks sleeker and low profile but won't do much aside from some hood protection. This one actually deflects most bugs from the windshield. At most I'll get some in the top/middle or top/edges but not in my face which was a daily occurrence before this.

Paint specific to plastics, possibly try a RC hobby shop. The paints they use are for plastics and flexible for the body.
