Don't ever rhino line a truck! Everyone seems to think its a great idea but Im gonna tell you that it straight up sucks. You are better with rustoleum spray paint. I had real bad clear coat fading and rust on my hood and roof and I thought it would be a good to test it. Bad idea. You can't clean it cause it ruins any sponge that touches it, mud literally sticks to it and in it and you can't get it off and the worst part is, you have to sand down to the metal to get it off. Sucks! just mho

    ex tampa res as well!

For an 80's - 90's straight up trail truck its not a horrible idea if you don't ever clean the thing. But for a daily, nah.

Easiest thing to do is have the whole thing replaced. I was charged $270 at a local shop and they swapped the cracked windshield and redid the strips and they sanded some hidden rust out and primed it. That alone was worth it. It would have just kept on getting worse. From now on ill do the swap on any 1st gen cracked or not that I have.

Just remember whatever you do, when you change color it will always be noticeable in all the jambs and engine compartment.

Man, that chevy has like a 10k raptor paint job. Not comparable and still same issues. I think the fact that mine is black makes me hate it more. Most mud is tan or brown. I have mud from 2019 on the hood of my beater still. lol

Idk, don't have it but it looks the same as what I have. All that liner paint is a bitch to clean mud out of.

One of the main reasons I got a black truck is even if I one day rattle canned it everything is still going to be black.

I did my truck in Raptor, color matched to the original Lunar Mist. Been over a year ago. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I did use reducer in my Raptor, which gave it a smoother finish. No issues getting mud off. Actually, just as easy as regular paint. No brush pinstrips!!! See my build thread below for more detail and pictures.
