The pinstriping and taking care of the paint is exactly why I’ve wanted to do this. I think yours turned out great!

Best case without removing it is to push it back a couple mm and then tape it. Front windows are easy to pull off, and back windows are removable or you can tape them. Always pick a color close to the original because there will always be chassis still visible (door jam, engine bay, etc). But honestly the back window trim is much more susceptible to movement than the windshield.

Had a guy who used to work at a body shop tell me it came out better than professional jobs he's seen. It's not hard guys.

Not really. Spray with the right PSI and it won't be too rough.

wouldn’t you use a soft scrub brush with soapy/foam to get it clean? I would think its designed to release. Are there “slick” products
    to apply for Raptor/monstaliner etc?

Long day of prep today, more sanding... never want to touch a sander again. Pulled rear lights, rear bumper, head lights and grill. Don't have a booth so I am tarping up the car port that I have. Far from perfect but better than nothing.

A little more masking and shell be ready from the gun tomorrow.

Looking forward to the finished product @Runninrutt !

It's not hard to clean at all. The stuff @Yota X used is totally different.

There is a vid in this thread of a raptor lined Chevy and he said he put some type of atf in the liner to make it easier to clean. Def confirm that.

Great prep. That's where the results are earned. With basecoat clear coat, in my opinion painting a vehicvle has gotten easier than the older combined finishes. As an amatuer, I've done both. I seem to get better results with BC/CC.

Just curious, what's the temps like where you are at? Is it above 70F?

Finished masking and shot my primer today. Went in pretty nicely. The roof was a pain to reach… thankfully that’s will be the least visible part.

After primer, I hit it with wet sand 600. I freaking hate sanding lol.

Hopefully I’ll get color and clear all done tomorrow.

You’ll notice that I didn’t fix all the dents in my truck. I’m trying to do things right in terms of paint but also remember the reality that it’s a 20 year old truck. There aren’t many but there are some.Dents will stay, and yes they’ll be noticeable with a fresh shined clear coat, but I’m not a pro and am just looking for a decent job that doesn’t look rattle canned.
