I’m using the budget gun that you’ll see all over the internet. Harbor freight purple gun. Bought one for each base, color, and then clear.

Would like to know what the final cost was for this. Looking good so far, hope it turns out as well as you wanted.

Put her all back together. I’m pretty happy with how it came out. Definitely have orange peel. But honestly don’t know what I could have done different given the circumstances.

Clear coat says I can wet sand and polish after 24 hours. So I’m thinking I can get a lot of the orange peel out. But over all I’m pretty happy with it. Looks like a different truck!

I had to buy a compressor, hose, spray gun as well (~500-600) All in all I’m about 1500-1600 in with everything. Half the cost I was quoted by Maaco.

My daily looks great in Raptor :D
It's pretty easy to do. I go to DIY car washes and hit it with a pressure washer. Mud doesn't stick unless you let it sit a month... like I did once hahaha
That looks amazing! I 2nd this, I did it myself for the first time and it's a pretty straight forward process. Anyone can do it with the right prep

Looks pretty good, dig the color. A good buff will fix that orange peel and you'll be ready to roll

Awesome job. Looks really good. Interested to see how much the wet sanding improves the final appearance. How many hours do you think you put into this?

I think I probably put 30-35 hours into it. That doesn’t include all the research I did. Id consider myself a “go getter” when it comes to something I decide I want to do. This honestly put me to the limit at times. So much time. So tedious.

Yep, that's exactly how mine ended up. I had flakes in my clear so it wasn't quite as apparent but it still bugged me. Sold the car so not my problem anymore lol
    Looks good though!

Loving the color in the sun. The front-end angle is also so much better than before.
