I have quite a bit of water spots and other junk on my rims and it doesn't seem to clean off. So my next option is to paint them. I was just wondering if my green tacoma would look better with the original silver or black. What are your opinions?

you could always plasti dip to get a feel for it. If it grows on you, keep it. If it doesn't, just remove the plasti dip with some WD-40 and go a chrome/silver color.

If you don't want to do it yourself, here's a company that can do it for you. Perhaps you have one close by so you can get a quote. I don't think its as expensive as you might think.

I haven't had them paint a wheel for me, but I did have them repair an aluminum wheel that had some serious curb rash on it and it looks as good as the OEM wheels I have on the car.

Black would be my 1st choice though.

Have them blasted, then repaint with black PPG epoxy primer (gloss or satin) and then if you so desire, the PPG slow to medium velocity epoxy clearcoat (also available in gloss or satin).

I would have them powdercoated. The previous owner of my truck spray painted mine black and didn't prep them, so they are starting to chip and peel.

    Bone stock. For now.
I painted mine with Duplicolor Graphite. Looked great.

I'll give the plasti dip a try, if it doesn't work out then I'll sand blast them
