I am going to paint my rims tommorrow, not sure if there is any extra steps I need to take so I dont mess up the TPMS, is it as simple as take the tire off and put it back on? thanks in advance for the help, and please excuse the ignorance but I am the opposite of a mechanic.

Don't worry about the TPMS; you'll want to tape the valve stem off real well to make sure you don't get overspray on it. I just painted my 4Runner wheels and had no issues with the TPMS.

Rim painting can be done without removing the tires, but if you do remove them I'd take off the TPMS sensors just to be safe. Pretty sure all you need to do is loosen/ remove the nut on the valve stem and they drop right out.
